HV17 has similar dimensions to the SK17, but is a very different boat. The hull carries more volume towards the bow and stern, and the keel has almost no rocker, which gives extremely straight tracking. The long waterline makes this a very fast boat, ideally suited to long-distance sea touring. A relatively flat bottom gives good stability for such a fast boat, enabling even inexperienced paddlers to easily keep up with others in a group. A rudder is fitted as standard to take the effort out of steering.
